Abstract
A systematic literature review and evaluation of 21 publications, including 20 randomized controlled trials, has led to a reassessment of the efficacy of the nonsurgical treatment of peri-implant mucositis. These results were used to update the S3 Level Guideline “Treatment of peri-implant diseases” (Registration number 083-023, V 2.0, status: 02.12.2022). This article aims to present adjunctive and alternative measures for the nonsurgical treatment of peri-implant mucositis.
