Abstract
Peruvian universities have implemented different policies to motivate research activities due to the quality indexes required by University Law 30220, and the Universidad de Ciencias y Humanidades is not the exception. In this context, the present study has the purpose of analyzing longitudinally how the university develops its scientific production according to the investment it executes; thus, identify the relationship between the number of publications and investment executed. It is observed that from 2013 to 2014 the investment increased by 2.1%, but the publications were maintained; from 2014 to 2015, investment grew by 0.7%, and publications grew 4.88%; from 2015 to 2016 the investment increased by 8% and publications by 20.73%; and finally, from 2016 to 2017, investments grew by 9.2% and publications by 21.95%. It is concluded that the growth in scientific production is related to the investment executed.
