Presentation. Cosmological relations among the kukama of the Latin American Amazon

This essay introduces the dossier titled «Cosmological Relations among the Kukama of the Latin American Amazon,» published in Desde el Sur, which aims to reflect on the socio-historical, cultural, ecological, and media-related processes currently experienced by the Kukama indigenous people in Peru, Brazil, and Colombia. The call for papers gathered contemporary research conducted directly with this indigenous collective. From the perspective of the guest editors, the dossier provides a situated approach to the lives and experiences that academic researchers construct alongside this community, drawing on anthropological, journalistic, geographical, educational, and oniric perspectives. We propose reading this dossier through the lens of a cartography of the Kukama people and their diverse processes of resistance.
