Abstract

Leadershipstyles such as theleader's ability to influence the members of an organization. The style will depend on the adoption of the personality of the manager and can be charismatic, transactional, transformational and authentic, while the teaching performance is conceived as the professional capacity of a university teacher who performs his function showing suitability, interpersonal relationships, technological mastery and training in ethical values. The focus of the research was qualitative, type grounded theory, being the sample 10 teachers with the aim of analyzing the Perception of leadership styles and teaching performance at a University of Lima 2019, the instrument an unstructured, open questionnaire. Among the main results is evidenced the thematic axis varied leadership style assumed by academic managers, the trend being the transformational style and in the thematic axis teaching performance is evidenced little university accompaniment by managers with regard to professional responsibility, interpersonal relationships, technological mastery and training in values; however, teachers perform their mandated functions. The conclusion was that the perception of leadership styles is varied, but the trend is contextualized in an academic manager of transformational style, in connection with a teaching performance little motivated but that presents a tendency to fulfill his professional responsibility, interpersonal relations, technological mastery and training in ethical values.
