In these times, information and communication technology is within the reach of many disciplines for its use and exploitation, in this sense find devices that can evaluate the behavior of movement, with the intention of recognizing certain patterns, in this work present a low cost system to begin the evaluation and characterization of movement in the Peruvian Paso horse. The Peruvian Paso horse is characterized by its body structure and by the shape of its flat gait, evidenced in the particularity of the movement of its limbs, which gives the sensation that it is dancing. The work with an inertial sensor based on an accelerometer located in the horse's center of gravity. As a result, the present the movement recorded in the X, Y and Z axes. The records presented are the first results in the procedure of biomechanical characterization of the Peruvian Paso horse, in the conclusions present some recommendations to increase the biomechanical variables and characteristics.
