Abstract

In recent years, companies dedicated to the rental of industrial equipment have suffered problems, such as the excessive time it takes to search for rented equipment or the loss of these. This research aims to develop a methodology for the control of industrial equipment rental through geolocation. Through the use of GPS devices, where it focuses on applying practical solutions to identify the accuracy and reliability of geolocation. As a result, the use of GPS devices is presented, as well as the integration in a Web Application, in order to improve the management of the location of the devices, thus contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of geolocation of industrial equipment, offering a comprehensive view of existing technologies (hardware and software). Its findings have the potential to inform and guide the effective implementation of geolocation systems in industrial environments, driving continuous improvement of processes and operations. The methodology was tested by obtaining the real-time location of the rented equipment, reducing the search time of the rented equipment as well as important data such as the name of the company that rented the equipment, start date, end date and location.
