Abstract

This brief communication describes the first design and validation ofprimers for the Calmegin gene in alpacas. It was observed by horizontal electrophoresis that the designed amplicons complied with the predicted size in silico, so it was concluded thatit is possible to design in silico primers for the Calmegin gene in alpaca and validate them using the PCR technique.
