Abstract

An artificial vagina for collecting semen from South American camelids with pressure and temperature regulation of the type comprising a tubular metal body arranged in a horizontal position and having a 45° downward fold at one of its ends, characterized in that: inside the metal body there is a cylindrical latex cervix that has an orifice at one of its ends; in the internal part of the cervix, there are a plurality of folds; through the fold of the metal body, a conical sheath is attached that covers the ducts and has a threadable end into which a collection tube is inserted; the collection tube has graduation marks and is transparent in color; between the metal body and the cervix, a plurality of electrical resistors have been arranged; and the metal body is covered on the outside by a layer of polyurethane foam.
