Organization of an international scientific event: Grand PD Meeting 2024

This organization was established with the goal of describing the frequency and cause of gene mutations common to Parkinson's disease, which had been identified primarily in Europe and the United States. It also discussed standardizing the genetic sample collection process to establish minimum criteria that can be replicated in each center. Furthermore, the collaboration between LARGE-PD and the International Parkinson's Foundation, "PD Generation," was announced, with the goal of providing genetic results reviewed by US genetic experts to the entire population participating in studies in Latin America.
