GENERAL OBJECTIVE:
To establish a clinical–molecular registry and a centralized database of Latino individuals, with and without Parkinson’s disease (PD), in order to investigate genetic and risk factors associated with cognitive decline in this population.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
To increase the representation of Latinos in research on neurodegenerative diseases such as PD, Alzheimer’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease–related dementias (ADRD).
To collect demographic, clinical, cognitive, and genetic data, as well as biological samples (blood), from at least 1,500 Hispanic participants.
To identify specific risk factors and molecular mechanisms involved in cognitive decline.
