The SCENA (Sustainability, Circular Economy, Environmental, Actions) group is a newly formed (emerging) group created out of interest by full-time faculty members in the Environmental Engineering program, which seeks to promote research and activities within the program that are aligned with sustainability and climate change. Within this line of research, we aim to align our work with the Sustainable Development Goals, such as climate action, the creation of sustainable products, renewable energy, solid waste management, and the circular economy—all of which are applied to sustainable cities, communities, and environments.
