Resumen
In this research paper, the actor-network theory is explored in relation to the understanding of the architecture and geography of the social universe in urban studies, sociology, and metaphysics. In particular, Latour’s book “Paris: Invisible City” is analyzed to understand the complexity of contemporary urban dynamics. It is argued that it is necessary to examine the underlying philosophical infrastructure in Latour’s work to critically evaluate his contribution to understanding urban space. It is highlighted that actor-network theory focuses on the discontinuities and heterogeneities that are fundamental to understanding the topological complexity of contemporary urban dynamics.
