N2 - As defined by the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), gingival recession (GR) [1] is a term that designates the oral exposure of the root surface due to a displacement of the gingival margin apical to the cemento-enamel junction, and it is also frequently related to the decline of dental (white) and gingival (pink) aesthetics as well as buccal cervical dentine hypersensitivity [2–10].
