N2 - Research in the educational field about neuroscience allows us to interpret elementary teaching-learning processes of how the brain can learn, remember, and forget. Neuroscience applied to education helps to understand the functioning of the brain, as well as the participation of neurobiological processes for the effectiveness and superiority of learning. That is why the objective of this research was to analyze the scientific activity around neuroscience applied to education, the historical evolution of document production, scientific production by countries to detect geographical scientific gaps and the production of documents by thematic area. A bibliometric analysis was carried out to identify articles based on the Scopus platform during the period 2004-2021, resulting in the selection of 115 documents that were submitted to a quantitative and qualitative analysis to establish the different approaches that the authors involved have on the subject studied. The findings showed a limited production of papers on the variable under study, both in countries involved and in the indexed years, as well as a geographical scientific gap located in Africa.
