Abstract

In this study biomechanics of the Peruvian Paso horse is analyzed, this horse is characterized by having three types of gaits, the walk, the trot and the gallop. The paso horse is characterized by its body structure and the shape of its flat gait, evidenced by the particularity of the movement of its limbs, which gives the sensation that it is dancing. The study presents a low-cost method for the registration of the movement, based on passive sensors, which works in conjunction with a recording system, where the movement of the horse is recorded and with it the markers, which were located on the right side of the horse, the markers are located on the right knee of the right leg, a second marker on the right arm, a third on the back, a fourth on the buttock, a fifth on the hip and a sixth on the belly. As a result, the study presents the movement of each of the markers to analyze and create a movement pattern of the Peruvian Paso horse.
