Abstract

Currently, technology allows us to have low-cost systems for multiple applications, as is the case of recording brain activity signals, which previously required high-end and expensive medical equipment, which had the functionality to record the electrical signals produced in the brain. Nowadays, these signals can be recorded with low-cost and easy-to-use devices. In this paper, we present a methodology for the recording and visualization of EEG signals, using a low-cost device, we present the mode of use, the configuration with mobile devices, to be able to perform the online recording of signals and to export it in a 'csv' file, and finally with the use of an application made in Matlab, we can perform the visualization of the signals for interpretation and diagnosis.
