Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze the topics explored on emotional intelligence in leadership based on a bibliometric and bibliographic analysis of the scientific production in the Scopus database during the period 1996-2021. A quantitative analysis with a bibliometric approach was carried out on the 220 documents selected for this study with the help of the RStudio and VOSviewer software. The results showed: a) 2019 was the year with the most production of documents (n = 21), the United States is the country with the most documents (n = 79), India is the country with the highest collaborative intermediation (n = 18) and the keyword with the most co-occurrence was Emotional Intelligence (n = 135); b) 8 themes were identified where the variables of this study navigate and c) 6 areas were derived for future research.
